A fundamental knowledge of carpentry tools and an ability to be dependable and on time are essential for this position.Role and ResponsibilitiesArrive at jobsite on time and ready to workMeet goals and expectations in your Plan of Action (POA) as described by your Supervisor in a timely mannerProvide as much notice as possible for unscheduled absences (e.g., sick days)Assist in all phases of the construction processFollow instructions and execute tasks with little supervisionDisplay an interest in learning and a positive attitudeHave a full understanding of safety requirements and follow safety protocolKnow how to use carpentry tools safely and efficientlyDrive the dump trailer when necessary and qualifiedClean up all CCI jobs to the standards and requirements of CCI policyBill all project-related hours worked to the appropriate project(s)Perform other duties as assignedHiring RequirementsDependable and timelyZero to five years of experienceAbility to follow directions quickly and efficientlyAbility to work effectively with othersWillingness and ability to learn new skillsValid Drivers License and dependable transportationSmart phone and/or tablet skills to use Procore appPhysical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Able to stand and walk for a 10-12-hour dayAble to lift 50 , including overheadAble to perform physical and repetitive motionsAble to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel and twist on an intermittent or continuous basisAble to see, talk, and hearAble to climb permanent and temporary stairsAble to climb ladders and negotiate work areas under constructionRequired Tools and EquipmentHand Carry Toolbox/BucketNail Bags, Razor Knife, Framing/Demo Hammer7 Circular Saw1 Utility Chisel, Hammer-Tacker, Multiple Bit Screwdriver12 Crescent Wrench, Flat Bar (wonder-bar), Nail Puller (cats-paw)30-35 Tape Measure, Extension Cord - 12 gauge 100Speed Square, Chalk Line, Keel/Crayon-MarkerRequired Personal Protective EquipmentThese Items Are Required on The Jobsite Every Day, Whether in Use or NotProtective Eyewear and Hard HatRespiratorGlovesWork BootsFall SystemBack BraceProtective EarmuffsAdditional Training/CertificationThe following certifications are required for this position. The hourly range is $20-$25 DOE. We offer two options for health care insurance and pay 100% of the employees monthly premium for either option. Health care insurance is available for spouses and dependent(s); however, the employee is responsible for 50% of the premium for his/her spouse and dependent(s). Additional supplemental insurance benefits including Hospital Indemnity, Accident, Critical Illness, Life and AD&D Insurance may be purchased through CCIs policy with The Hartford at your own expense.401K: CCI has a 401K program to assist employees in saving for retirement. Employees are eligible to designate how much they would like to contribute to their 401K account starting their rst day of work. CCI offers a 401k match program, matching up to 4% of the employee's annual pay.Cell Stipend:You are eligible to receive a $500/year cell phone stipend, paid quarterly at the end of each quarter. You must be employed during the entire quarter to be eligible for that period.
