Grace Care Early Learning Center is currently seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Preschool Teacher to join our team! We are looking for someone who is passionate about early childhood education, enjoys building positive relationships with children and families, and is excited to create engaging learning experiences in the classroom.
Our program uses its own center-created curriculum that teachers will implement through hands on learning, play based activities, classroom experiences, and daily routines. Our curriculum does include light Christian values and lessons woven naturally throughout the program through kindness, character building, prayer before meals, holiday celebrations, and positive social emotional learning.
This position requires a teacher who is DCFS Teacher Qualified according to Illinois licensing standards.
Responsibilities
- Implement and follow our center curriculum and daily classroom schedule
- Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment
- Plan and lead age appropriate learning activities
- Maintain proper supervision and classroom management at all times
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers
- Complete daily communication and classroom documentation
- Follow all Illinois DCFS licensing standards and center policies
- Participate in trainings, meetings, and professional development opportunities
- Support children’s social emotional growth and independence
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom
Qualifications
- Must be DCFS Teacher Qualified in the State of Illinois
- Previous childcare or preschool experience preferred
- CPR/First Aid Certification preferred (or willing to obtain)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Dependable, positive, and professional attitude
- Ability to pass DCFS background checks and fingerprinting requirements
Schedule
- Full Time
- Monday through Friday
- Flexible scheduling may be discussed
