Senior Auditor / Audit Manager

Location: Kildare
Salary: €65,000–€80,000 depending on experience
Working Model: Hybrid – 3 days office / 2 days remote
Contract: Permanent

The Opportunity

We are working with a well-established and growing accountancy practice in Kildare that is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Auditor / Audit Manager to its team.

The firm has approximately 20 staff, including a strong team of qualified accountants and experienced managers, and has developed a significant and varied audit client base.

Depending on experience, they are open to considering candidates from Senior Auditor through to Audit Manager level, with the responsibilities and package tailored accordingly.

The Role

Working closely with the Partners and wider audit team, responsibilities will include:

• Managing audit assignments from planning through to completion.

• Working across a varied portfolio of SME and larger corporate clients.

• Preparing and reviewing statutory financial statements.

• Managing audit fieldwork, deadlines and budgets.

• Reviewing work completed by junior and part-qualified team members.

• Acting as a key point of contact for clients throughout the audit process.

• Identifying and resolving audit and accounting issues as they arise.

• Liaising closely with Partners on more complex assignments.

• Supporting, mentoring and developing junior members of the team.

At Manager level, the role will involve greater responsibility for portfolio management, client relationships, billing, workflow and team development.

The Person

Ideally, you will be:

• ACA / ACCA qualified or approaching qualification.

• Experienced within audit in an Irish accountancy practice.

• Comfortable managing audit assignments with a good degree of autonomy.

• Technically strong across audit, accounting and financial reporting.

• Confident dealing directly with clients and senior stakeholders.

• Comfortable reviewing and supporting junior staff.

• Organised and capable of managing multiple assignments and deadlines.

Package & Working Arrangements

Salary will depend on experience, with scope from approximately €65,000 – €80,000 

The firm offers hybrid working, with approximately three days per week in the office. A bonus scheme linked to firm-wide billing performance is also in place.
