SALES ENABLEMENT INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNER (INSTRUCTOR-LED TRAINING)
We are working with our client to locate an experienced Instructional Designer to develop instructor-led training (ILT) programs focused on Sales Enablement and Business Development capabilities. This individual will design learning experiences that equip Project Engineers, Project Managers, and other operational professionals with the skills needed to identify opportunities, build client relationships, and contribute to business growth. This role will also support onboarding and capability development for new members of the Business Development team.
The ideal candidate brings expertise in adult learning, facilitation design, sales training, and leadership development, with the ability to translate complex business development concepts into engaging classroom and workshop experiences.
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 6-Month Engagement
Hours: Up to 40 hours per week
Location: Pasadena, California; Hybrid / Onsite (candidate must be willing to work from the office as needed)
Experience Required:
- 5 years of instructional design experience with a focus on instructor-led training (ILT)
- Experience designing Sales Enablement, Business Development, Client Relationship Management, or Professional Skills training programs
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and experiential learning methodologies
- Experience creating learning programs for professional services, construction, engineering, consulting, or project-based organizations
- Ability to develop facilitator guides, participant workbooks, activities, role plays, and supporting materials
- Experience partnering with senior leaders, business development teams, and subject matter experts
- Strong visual presentation design skills (PowerPoint, workshop materials, learner guides)
- Ability to create highly interactive, discussion-based learning experiences
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop instructor-led training programs focused on business development and sales enablement
- Create learning experiences for Project Engineers, Project Managers, and operational leaders transitioning into client-facing and business development responsibilities
- Develop onboarding and capability-building programs for new Business Development team members
- Create facilitator guides, participant materials, presentations, exercises, case studies, and job aids
- Partner with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to identify learning needs and desired outcomes
- Design practical learning experiences focused on relationship building, opportunity identification, client engagement, networking, proposal support, and sales conversations
- Build measurement strategies to evaluate learning effectiveness and adoption
- Ensure content is engaging and aligned with organizational goals
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience developing sales training, consultative selling, account management, or business development programs
- Background in leadership development or professional skills training
- Familiarity with change management and organizational development principles
The pay range for this is $55 to $60 per hour. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, relevant education, certifications and specific work location.
