Shipping and Receiving Clerk

• Utilize a sit-down forklift, a tugger, a hand-truck, and other equipment as required to complete daily tasks.
  
• Assemble and prepare shipments in accordance with shipping requirements and specifications.
  
• Weigh and record weight on shipping orders. Check shipments for correct material, packing, tagging, addressing, handling, and loading.
  
• Prepare bills of lading and other required forms.
  
• Route shipments, contact carriers.
  
• Verify shipments and receipts against packing slips and bills of lading. Route materials to storage. May dispatch company vehicles.
  
• Make damage, shortage, etc. reports, make reports of shipments, prepare inventory reports.
  
• May perform other handling, inventory, and housekeeping duties as assigned.
  
• May move materials, cartons, etc., with a forklift truck, hand truck, or skid mover as required. Good judgment and initiative are required to perform work accurately and efficiently.
  
  Must have the ability to work well in a highly automated, fast-paced environment. Must be able to use RF scanners. Computer knowledge is a plus. Ability to load and unload trucks with a forklift is a plus. Prepare and check necessary receipts, records and reports. Observe methods of accomplishing work and learn operation of all equipment while assisting in various tasks.
  
  Must have at least 3 to 6 months experience on a sit-down forklift to transport finished molded parts to prescribed areas, shrink oven, etc. and to locations in warehouse.
  
  Prior sit down forklift experience required, at least 3 to 6-months. Manufacturing or large warehouse experience preferred.
