What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Engineering Lead position at Clarios?
What you will do :
The Mechanical Engineering Lead will create designs to meet customers' needs, lead product development to meet timelines, support product launches in the plant, and maintain engineering changes of production products. They will also drive the team for results, by working closely with the cross functional launch team, using efficient communication with systems, manufacturing, procurement, and quality.
How you will do it
- Leading the mechanical system design of energy storage devices such as Lithium Ion, Sodium Ion, and Super Capacitors. Direct other engineers in sub-system design with little to no oversight.
- Defining mechanical systems that meet structural and thermal requirements and can be manufactured efficiently using our core processes.
- Interfacing directly with OE customers and propose solutions to meet their needs balanced with Clarios business, engineering, and manufacturing requirements.
- Reviewing and proposing updates to product requirements.
- Specify and approve multiple complex mechanical components and sub-assemblies created by other engineers - including formed metal parts, injection molded rubber / plastic components, bus bars, flex-circuits, connectors, labels
machined / cast metal parts, structural items, fans, fasteners, gaskets, clips, and
other hardware.
Ownership of entire program includes taking on various roles, at times as needed, to meet program timing.
