Clarion Psychiatric Center is currently recruiting for a Master's Level Social Worker. The Social Worker provides clinical social work services in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Clarion Psychiatric Center and the NASW. The Social Worker is responsible for psychosocial assessments of the patient’s mental health; individual, group, and family therapy; active participation on the treatment team; lead role in the development of the master treatment plan; developing realistic and measurable short and long term goals; and assumes responsibility for coordinating with other agencies involved with the patient the discharge and continuing care plans.

Job Specifications- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate competency in each criteria listed in this job description. Licensure / Certification –LSW or LCSW preferred but not required.
Knowledge/Skills- Family dynamics, social casework, interpersonal relationships and regional social policy. Knowledge of therapeutic relationships, therapeutic processes, growth and development, limit-setting and behavior management, crisis management of aggressive behaviors. Communication skills and ability to teach patients.

Supervision Received - Social Services Supervisor in conjunction with Director of Clinical Services
Physical Requirements – Ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and be able to walk and stand for long periods. Able to participate in crisis prevention intervention.
