Overview
We at the Clarion Inn & Suites in Aiken, SC are seeking a friendly and professional Front Desk Agent to join our team. The Front Desk Agent is the first point of contact for our guests, providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive experience throughout their stay. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in front desk operations or hospitality is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and welcoming demeanor.
- Check guests in and out efficiently, ensuring all necessary information is collected accurately.
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints promptly and professionally.
- Manage phone systems, answering calls with appropriate phone etiquette and directing them as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of guest information and reservations using hotel property management software.
- Provide information about hotel services, local attractions, and amenities to enhance the guest experience.
- Work with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure rooms are ready for incoming guests.
- Process payments and maintain cash drawer accuracy throughout shifts.
Skills
- Previous experience in front desk operations or hospitality is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with guests from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to learn about our hotel room types, rates, packages, promotions and other up-to-date general product knowledge necessary to perform hotel operations.
- Ability to learn about and adhere to Choice Hotels/Clarion brand standards.
- Proficient in using phone systems and hotel property management software.
- Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail in managing reservations and guest requests.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
