Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces to meet cleanliness standards.
• Handle laundry operations efficiently, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and towels.
• Use appropriate chemical agents safely for cleaning tasks while adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and dining spaces by sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting floors.
• Assist with janitorial tasks related to industrial cleaning and custodial responsibilities to ensure a hygienic environment.
• Follow hotel emergency procedures diligently during incidents or safety concerns to ensure guest and staff safety.
• Manage heavy lifting tasks safely when handling laundry loads or moving cleaning equipment, utilizing proper manual handling techniques.

Requirements

• Proven experience in hotel housekeeping management or custodial/industrial cleaning roles is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care, and janitorial practices within hospitality environments.
• Ability to handle chemical agents responsibly while understanding safety data sheets (SDS) for all cleaning products used.
• Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling, and standing for extended periods during shifts.
• Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to respond effectively in urgent situations.
• Excellent attention to detail combined with a proactive attitude toward maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Previous hospitality or hotel experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided to the right candidate.
