In this role, you will provide specialized instruction tailored to each student's individual educational goals while designing engaging lessons that promote participation, confidence, and academic growth. You will collaborate closely with teachers, families, and support staff to ensure students receive the resources and guidance they need to succeed. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate IEP documentation, monitoring student progress, and fostering a structured, inclusive classroom environment where every learner feels supported and encouraged to reach their full potential.
Requirements
A bachelor's degree in Special Education or a closely related field is required; a master's degree is considered an asset. Previous experience supporting students with diverse learning needs in a school setting is preferred. Applicants must also hold a valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Learning Behavior Specialist I (LBS1) endorsement.
