Clarifi Staffing Solutions is partnering with an innovative school district to bring on a dedicated Special Education Teacher with expertise in Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) services. In this full-time, itinerant role, you’ll travel between campuses to ensure students with hearing impairments receive the individualized support they need to learn, connect, and thrive.
Further Details:
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and IEP compliance.
- Develop and deliver customized instructional plans aligned with each student's IEP.
- Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
- Adapt curriculum and classroom materials to ensure accessibility for students with hearing impairments.
- Provide training and consultation to school staff on best practices for working with deaf and hard of hearing students.
- Utilize American Sign Language (ASL), oral communication, or other appropriate modes of communication based on student needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, speech-language pathologists, audiologists, and school teams to support student success.
Requirements
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is highly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or a closely related discipline is required.
- Valid Georgia Professional Educator License (PEL) with an endorsement in Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
- Prior experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing within educational settings is strongly preferred.
