Overview
We are seeking a passionate, reliable, and dedicated Daycare Teacher to join our early childhood team. This position is designed to support any classroom within the daycare, including infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children, based on program needs. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of early childhood development and is committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for children of all ages.
The Daycare Teacher plays a vital role in supporting children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development while maintaining a positive and collaborative classroom culture.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Support and implement developmentally appropriate activities and lessons across various age groups.
- Supervise and actively engage with children throughout the day to ensure safety, learning, and well-being.
- Build positive, respectful relationships that foster independence, confidence, and self-esteem.
- Assist with daily routines, including meals, diapering, toileting, nap time, and transitions as needed by classroom assignment.
- Observe, monitor, and document children’s development and share relevant information with families and leadership.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Collaborate with lead teachers and staff to support curriculum goals and classroom needs.
- Follow all licensing regulations, center policies, and health and safety procedures.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and administer first aid when necessary.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Child Development Associate (CDA), Child Development Certification, or Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
- Candidates willing to pursue credentials are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience in a daycare, preschool, or early childhood setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of child development principles across multiple age groups.
- Experience working with children with diverse needs or disabilities is a plus.
- Strong classroom management and adaptability to different classroom environments.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A warm, patient, and professional approach to working with children and families.
- Genuine passion for early childhood education and child development.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $11.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
