The Infrastructure Engineer II will play a critical role in managing and maintaining our organization's network, cloud, data center, connected devices, support, and vendor management.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the organization's network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Administer and maintain the cloud and data center infrastructure, including servers, storage, and backup systems.
- Provide support to end-users and other IT teams to resolve infrastructure-related issues.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to plan and implement infrastructure projects and upgrades.
- Develop and implement infrastructure policies, procedures, and standards to ensure the security, availability, and reliability of infrastructure services.
- Maintain business partner relationships with a portfolio of assigned organizational units to understand their needs within this responsibility domain and meet their requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Arts or Sciences with preference for significant background in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields, OR equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT, preferably in infrastructure management, systems, or support - preferably in higher education.
- Knowledge of network infrastructure, data center infrastructure, and connected devices.
- Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring and management tools, such as SolarWinds, and VMware vSphere.
