The Beautician ensures client satisfaction by delivering personalized beauty treatments and maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and professionalism.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Provide a variety of beauty services including haircuts, hairstyling, manicures, and other cosmetology treatments.
- Consult with clients to understand their beauty goals and recommend appropriate services.
- Ensure workstations and tools are cleaned, sanitized, and organized according to state health regulations.
- Maintain a positive, client-focused attitude and ensure each guest has a satisfying experience.
- Keep up to date with industry trends, products, and techniques.
- Assist with inventory of supplies and notify management when replenishment is needed.
- Uphold salon or spa policies and contribute to a welcoming, team-oriented environment.
- Work collaboratively with other staff members to support smooth operations and client scheduling.
- This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications/Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the cosmetology field.
- Valid and current cosmetology license in the state of Florida.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Creole) preferred.
- General office working conditions.
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear.
- Occasionally lift/move up to 15 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Manual dexterity required to use computers and peripherals.
- Moderate noise level.
- Local travel between care centers may be required for coverage.
- Minimal hazards.
