Job Overview:
Under the direction of the Manager, the Central Supply Technician works and cooperate with Receiving and Distribution staff.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High school diploma
- Previous hospital central distribution experience and med/surg supply knowledge
- Computer skills desirable
Preferred:
- College degree
Scheduling Requirements
- Shift: Day
- Time: 7:00am - 3:00pm
- Full-Time: 37.5 hrs.
- Must work some weekends/holidays
Essential Functions:
- Distribution of medical and surgical supplies, including Pyxis and non Pyxis stock to all nursing care units.
- Ensures proper rotation of dated inventory and maintains cleanliness of storeroom area.
- Supply CMMC with both sterile and non-sterile products, restock medical/surgical supplies in the Pyxis Supply Stations and performs Pyxis station inventories regularly.
- Distributes equipment such as IV pumps, Flowtron, Gomco, etc., and picks up dirty equipment and instruments. Assembles traction equipment as needed.
- Replenishes storeroom stock daily, and maintains cleanliness of department.
