What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fair Worker position at Clallam County?
Under the supervision of Parks, Fair and Facilities Staff, Fair Workers perform a variety of duties to support the successful operation of the Clallam County Fair. Responsibilities may include ticket sales and admissions, office assistance, vendor and carnival support, customer service, data entry, telephone reception, vendor setup, and other assigned tasks. Employees are expected to exercise sound judgment, maintain attention to detail, communicate effectively, work independently and as part of a team, prioritize assignments, and provide excellent service to fair participants and visitors.
Office Help:
Assist with building superintendents, entries, answer telephones, data entry, vendor placements, delivering items to vendors, carnival, and buildings, general customer service and other duties as assigned by the Fair Manager and Assistant.
Ticket Takers/Sellers:
Sell tickets, make correct change, balance register at the end of the day, and other duties as assigned by the Fair Manager and Assistant.
Requires knowledge of the field of assignment sufficient to perform thoroughly and accurately the full scope of responsibility as illustrated by examples in the above job description
Education/Training
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Experience
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a great deal of customer service etiquette, experience preferred but not required.
