This role is essential in managing the county’s extensive financial operations, ensuring compliance with applicable statutes, and maximizing the effectiveness of assigned employees. The Accountant will coordinate multiple funding sources, manage a diverse portfolio of investments, and ensure accurate financial transactions across various districts and departments. This position requires expertise in fund accounting, investment management, and financial reporting. The Accountant will be responsible for daily reconciliation of banking transactions, monitoring cash flows, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
