Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily store operations, ensuring smooth shift management and high standards of customer service
- Recruit, interview, and onboard new team members with a focus on employee orientation and training & development
- Manage inventory control, merchandising, stocking, and purchasing to optimize product availability and presentation
- Oversee sales management activities including retail math, pricing strategies, and sales promotions to meet store targets
- Handle cash handling, cashiering duties, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks with accuracy and efficiency
- Implement marketing initiatives and support wireless sales efforts to boost store visibility and customer engagement
- Train staff on POS systems, phone etiquette, customer service excellence, and organizational skills to enhance team performance
Requirements
- Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles with supervising experience
- Strong leadership skills coupled with excellent communication abilities in multilingual or bilingual settings
- Knowledge of retail math, inventory management, merchandising, and store management practices
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, payroll processing, and bookkeeping software
- Ability to manage time effectively while juggling multiple responsibilities such as scheduling, training & development, and customer interactions
- Demonstrated skills in negotiation, purchasing, pricing strategies, and marketing initiatives
- Experience working in grocery stores or similar retail environments is a plus
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and stock management
