The Accounting Associate is a detail-oriented person that prepares, maintains and processes accounts payable and receivable, bank deposits and assists with office assignments. This position reports to the Accounting Manager.

- Enter and review vendor bills
- Code expenses to the appropriate G/L account and allocate expense between entities
- Review or seek approval for invoices
- Review vendor bills for sales tax or apply use tax as needed
- Prepare accounts payable checks & reports
- Review customer invoices for sales tax as appropriate
- Enter customer invoices, send payment links and invoices to customers
- Post payments to customer accounts
- Follow up on late payments and collections
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- General accounting knowledge
- Formal accounting education preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel
- Ability to work with accounting information for multiple entities and multiple locations
- Highly organized and high attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills and customer-service orientation towards both internal and external customers
