Description of Role:
This is a rare and unique opportunity to join one of the fastest growing companies in the U.S. that works side-by-side with top auto insurance carriers to resolve third party medical bills. This attorney will report to the company’s General Counsel, and interact with insurance carrier executives, insurance agents, and outside counsel to collaborate effectively across the nation. This attorney will have early career opportunities to assist in expanding ClaimTECH and help the business identify and implement practical business and legal solutions to achieve its goals.

Education:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in Texas.
- Additional state licenses a plus.
Experience: 2–3 years of legal experience preferred, not required.
Work Location: In person. Plano, TX.
Schedule: Regular business hours.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ensure all ClaimTECH clients receive exceptional legal support.
- Understand the objectives of the business to provide expert analysis of legal issues and risks within the context of the company’s strategic direction.
- Stay updated with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure company compliance with all applicable laws (particularly with insurance and hospital liens laws).
- Identify, assess, and manage legal risks associated with projects, including contractual risks, insurance requirements, and potential liabilities.
- Identify and mitigate legal risks associated with contract terms and conditions.
- Provide guidance on regulatory issues, insurance laws, hospital lien laws, and third-party bad faith claims.
- Provide guidance on ethics, conflicts of interest, and compliance with the company’s code of conduct.
- Assist with internal investigations and recommend appropriate actions when necessary.
- Assists with litigation as needed, including management of outside counsel.
- Promote legal awareness by conducting training sessions on legal matters relevant to the insurance industry.
- In-depth knowledge of insurance contracts.
- Strong negotiation, drafting, and analytical skills.
