Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to support the day-to-day operations of the Finance Department. Reporting directly to the Assistant Controller, this individual will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close activities, assisting with financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting procedures.
Deliverables include, but not limited to:
Ø Cash receipt application (mostly receives check payments, some ACH payments)
Ø Prepares, reconciles, scans, and posts the bank deposits
Ø Performs various administrative functions such as recording changes in customer information and filing and retrieval of documents
Ø Pays bills dailyby either credit card, check, or ACH payment
Ø Records payroll and payroll accrual entries
Ø Reconciles credit card monthly statement & getsreceipts andapprovals from management (putting the Amex package together)
Ø Manages and executes all customer and requester refunds
Ø Produces documents for annual 1099s, flagging vendors and delivers reports to the Assistant Controller
Ø Works closely with the Controller and Assistant Controller on all audit, tax, and project engagements
Ø Reconciles general ledger accounts and performs account analysis
Ø Prepares supporting files and invoices for monthly internal client billing
Successful candidates in this position will leverage strong critical thinking and analytical skills to inform decision-making, proactively anticipate potential questions or issues, and understand that this position extends beyond transactional tasks to require strategic insight and judgment.
They will also have the following experience and knowledge:
Ø Experience with Microsoft Business Central or Great Plains required
Ø Minimum 4-year college degree in Accounting or Finance
Ø At least five years of experience in an accounting position
Ø Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of VLOOKUP functions and pivot tables, is required
Ø Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail through the application of forensic auditing techniques, critical analysis, and the identification and escalation of inconsistencies
Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
