Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver Curriculum: Plan and execute daily lessons aligned with the Tennessee Academic Standards for Science and Tennessee Academic Standards for Mathematics.
- Instructional Processes: Use diverse teaching strategies, including hands-on science laboratories, mathematical modeling, and collaborative problem-solving.
- Differentiated Learning: Adapt lessons to support English Language Learners (ELL), students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and 504 plans.
- Assessment Tools: Formulate, administer, and analyze formative and summative assessments to measure student growth and target learning gaps.
- Data Analysis: Utilize student data, including previous Tennessee Comprehensive Assessment Program (TCAP) results, to drive instruction and remediation strategies.
- Classroom Management: Establish a safe, structured, and positive classroom environment using school-wide behavioral systems (e.g., RTI²-B).
- Professional Collaboration: Participate in professional learning communities (PLCs), faculty meetings, and grade-level team planning sessions.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain regular, transparent communication with parents and guardians regarding student academic and behavioral progress.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required.
