What are the responsibilities and job description for the Land Survey Technician position at CLA Engineers?
CLA Engineers is looking for a Survey Technician to join our team in Norwich, CT.
Founded in 1984, CLA Engineers provides civil engineering and land surveying services for public, private, and municipal clients throughout the region.
Our survey department uses modern technology including robotic total stations, GPS, drones, and lidar. We are committed to training our team and staying current with the latest surveying tools and techniques.
This is a full-time, on-site position with a mix of field and office work. You'll assist with boundary, topographic, construction, and monitoring surveys, collect field data, and help prepare survey drawings and documents in the office.
Qualifications
- Interest in land surveying and willingness to learn
- Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
- Basic computer skills and attention to detail
- Survey experience is a plus, but not required
- Experience with Leica equipment, Civil 3D, or SurvPC is a plus
