What are the responsibilities and job description for the Farmworkers & Laborers, Crop, Nursery, Greenhouse position at Cla-Don Farms Inc?
Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties found in SOC Code 45-2092 Farmworkers and Laborers, Crop, Nursery, and Greenhouse such as: Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops; Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Inform farm managers of crop progress; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery (much of which is equipped with GPS) such as planter, combine, tillage tool to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops such as soybeans, corn; Load agricultural products into trucks without over or underfilling bed or trailer, and drive to market or storage facilities; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping including brush hogging and maintaining pasture; Haul and spread inputs, fertilizer, and other materials to condition soil; Repair fences, water structures; Attach implements using hand tools; speak and understand English. Approximate staggered entry: 6 workers to begin Feb 1 and 2 workers to begin July 1.
