Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Repair and maintain various vehicle components including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, and powertrain systems.
- Conduct oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, shocks & struts replacements, and other routine maintenance tasks to uphold vehicle performance.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair tools to execute repairs efficiently.
- Diagnose and repair complex systems such as ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), diesel engines, auto body components, and auto electrical systems.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems effectively.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring vehicles meet safety standards before returning to the road.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanic experience with dealership or independent shop background preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems including powertrain, transmissions, suspension, brakes, and electrical components.
- Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics tools and schematics interpretation.
- Familiarity with ADAS calibration, air brake systems (nice-to-have), diesel engine repair (preferred), and auto estimating software (nice-to-have).
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive maintenance tools safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of GM vehicles or similar brands is advantageous but not required.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail; ability to work independently or as part of a team.
