Role Description

We are looking for a driven Catering Sales Manager with a proven ability to develop and close new business. If you excel at proactive sales, building strong client relationships, and consistently meeting revenue goals in hospitality, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a beautiful resort in Waikiki.


You will actively generate catering and banquet revenue through prospecting, sales calls, site tours, industry networking, and relationship building. This role is heavily focused on new business development and proactive sales, while also owning the full detailing, servicing, and successful execution of the events you book. You will work closely with the Banquets and Operations teams to ensure outstanding delivery and exceptional customer satisfaction.


What You'll Do

  • Proactively develop new catering and banquet business through targeted outreach, sales calls, networking and relationship building.
  • Lead site tours, craft compelling proposals, and negotiate contracts with confidence.
  • Consistently meet and exceed revenue targets by booking corporate, social, wedding and local catering business.
  • Manage the full sales and event lifecycle — from initial inquiry through detailed planning, execution, and billing follow-up (including BEOs)
  • Partner closely with Banquets and Operations teams to deliver exceptional experiences
  • Represent the resort at industry events, trade shows, and community functions
  • Mentor and support the Catering Coordinator in a collaborative environment
  • Stay ahead of market trends and competitive landscape to position the resort strongly


What You Bring

  • Minimum 2 years of proven hotel sales or hotel catering sales experience
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Strong prospecting, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Proficiency in MS Office; Delphi experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Food & Beverage operations and best practices in event planning
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced resort environment with strong attention to detail
