Job Summary: Small manufacturing company in Southwest Iowa is looking for an accounting/financial professional who will oversee the high-level accounting duties required for such industry. Our company is growing and needs a knowledgeable individual experienced in cost accounting, capital projects, and preparing necessary financial documents. Said individual would report directly to the CEO and owners.

Job Specifics:

• Prepare & examine accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and other financial reports
• Supervising and providing leadership
• Overseeing and coordinating all accounting activities of the company
• Making recommendations on process improvements
• Develop & analyze reporting for business operations and budgets
• Prepare, analyze and report monthly gross margin analysis by customer, part number, and production jobs
• Analyze cost variances to identify discrepancies, propose the appropriate resolution and prepare reports
• Maintain fixed assets and depreciation schedules
• Assist with annual budget preparation and forecast future results
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Possess at least 3 years of professional accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
• In-depth understanding of manufacturing cost accounting
• Highly proficient in Quickbooks Manufacturing & Wholesale
