In this role, you’ll manage the full lifecycle of concrete paving projects while assisting the Paving Manager in driving the overall performance and strategic direction of the division. You’ll work closely with superintendents, crews, and company leadership to ensure smooth execution, alignment with schedules and budgets, and adherence to safety and quality standards. This position offers both field and office exposure and plays a key part in helping our team succeed. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.
What You’ll Do
- Manage and oversee all phases of concrete paving projects from preconstruction through closeout, including estimating support, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, materials planning, and quality assurance.
- Travel regularly to project sites to provide hands-on leadership, assess progress, verify compliance with plans and specs, and ensure crews are equipped and supported to meet expectations.
- Coordinate with superintendents, field teams, subcontractors, and internal departments to ensure project execution aligns with budgets, schedules, and safety and quality standards.
- Support the Paving Manager in long-term planning efforts, including tracking project pipelines, identifying new opportunities, and maintaining strong client and vendor relationships.
- Identify and resolve project roadblocks in real-time by proactively monitoring field performance, workflow, productivity, and material/equipment needs.
- Contribute to the financial health of each project by assisting with cost tracking, reviewing and managing change orders, identifying potential overruns, and updating forecasts regularly.
- Champion a safety-first culture by promoting daily safety practices, conducting site audits, and ensuring full regulatory and company policy compliance across all project sites.

What You Bring
- Proven success managing concrete paving projects—this experience is required.
- Ability to travel frequently and work in outdoor construction environments.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills, with experience coordinating crews and subcontractors.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
- Comfort managing budgets, schedules, and field operations.
- Familiarity with concrete paving equipment, materials, and methods.
- Proficiency with project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
