Responsibilities:
- Operate Clamp Forklift Truck for staging and movement of product from production floor
- Prepare products and materials for shipment
- Load and unload product
- Track and record units of materials handled
- Adhere to safety policies and procedures
- Maintain the cleanliness of each regrind room
- Empty the air bags on day bins daily
- Resolve any material line malfunction by taking appropriate action and troubleshooting vacuum problems.
- Continuously monitor virgin day bin and change rail-car compartments as needed, to insure that each compartment is completely empty.
- During rail-car exchange (pickup/drop-off) properly shut down vacuum pumps and disconnect all vacuum hoses, and lower the flag on the spur. Once the cars are in place, raise the flag and reconnect the vacuum hoses and restart pumps.
- Check vacuum pump filters once per shift every day.
- Change the machine hopper filters daily.
- Change blow back filters daily.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 1 yr experience operating a Forklift
- Familiarity with pallet jack, forklift- sit down, or other industrial vehicles
- Material Handling Experience
