- Demonstrate the ability to utilize the required testing equipment, including hand held calipers when the AVID system is down
- Demonstrates good attendance

- Is open to working different shifts as needed
- Maintain a “safety first” attitude
- Adhere to all relevant safety policies and guidelines
- Know the primary and secondary egress routes in the event of an emergency evacuation
- Work to prevent injuries to yourself and those around you
- Establish and maintain good housekeeping
- Wear required PPE and comply with all GMP standards
- Perform periodic safety inspections of your assigned area
- Complete all annual safety training as assigned
- When using a CKS issued knife to remove bottle contamination, wear CKS issued cut resistant gloves and always cut away from the body. Knives must be stored in a safety sheath when not in use
- Report any Quality issues to the Quality Manager
- Possess a progressive understanding of Statistical Process Control. Understand the difference between specification limits and control limits. Understand how to read control charts and histograms
- Adhere to prescribed Good Manufacturing Practices
- Perform cleaning as assigned per the Master Cleaning Schedule. Sign-off and date that cleaning was completed
- Can locate and reference documents (forms, work aids, work instructions, etc) that are relevant to your job
- Understand how to create new documents (forms, work aids, work instructions, etc) and update existing documents as needed
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action meetings as assigned
- Know our customer complaints, understand how they impact the plant and know what your role is in preventing them from occurring
- Know the specification limits and testing frequencies for the products manufactured in this facility
- Continually monitor bottle quality to ensure customer satisfaction
- Perform hourly leak detector and vision system checks using the designated test bottles
- Perform the following tests for all lines as per the required frequency listed in the control plan:
- Finish measurements (i.e. T, E, ID, S, etc.)
- Wall thickness, Top load, Bottle height and panel widths, Drop impact test, Weight, Visual and bottle integrity inspections, Volume and overflow, Filled bottle leak test, Top Load Tester
- Manage out of specification conditions until corrected
- Proficient at using the following equipment:
- Caliper, Scale, AVBIS 3000, Magna Mike, Height Gage
- Basic ability to troubleshoot testing equipment when there’s a failure
- Challenge the leak detector and vision systems hourly with the designated test bottles
- Perform line inspections at the required frequencies. Notify the Machine Operator and Production Supervisor of any defect product found
- Responsible for placing nonconforming product on hold, tagging each pallet, and ensuring the product is isolated and moved to the designated hold area
- When placing product on hold, check pallets until the start of the defective condition is found. This may require inspecting pallets from previous shifts or bringing back trailers that have already left the building
- Work with machine operators, supervisors, etc. to correct defective conditions
- Proficient with the RealSPC software. Able to create tests, enter data and view historical data and charts
- Maintain defect storyboards for each line
- Issue new specification sheets for production personnel at product changeovers
- Conduct FAI (first article inspection) on new product, new molds, and at line start-ups
- Complete quality records neatly and legibly
- Maintain quality records
- Complete cleaning assignments per the master cleaning schedule
- Communicate all relevant information at shift changeover (product placed on hold, ongoing quality issues, machine status, etc.)
- Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time
- Requires occasional lifting of up to 35 pounds
- Requires normal range of hearing and vision to record, prepare and communicate appropriate work instructions and documentation
- Requires correctable vision to be within normal range
- May require working in areas that are not air conditioned
- Requires full range of motion including handling and lifting, manual and finger dexterity, and hand-eye coordination
