Uniloy/Bekum Machine Operator

CKS Packaging is currently looking for Uniloy/Bekum Machine Operators to add to our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and monitoring blow molding equipment to produce plastic containers according to company standards. This role will involve machine setup, quality checks, and routine maintenance to ensure efficient and consistent production.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for required adjustments needed to fulfill the product specification requirements such as weight, color distribution, and cycle times.
• Retrieves PLC programming information, evaluate, and makes adjustments
• Control and adjust machine settings
• Ensures adherence to quality standards
• Will be responsible for daily production records and quality control records for any and all lines assigned to operate
• Answer machine alarms as they occur and address the root cause.
• Coordinate process operations to ensure efficiency, including, communicate with production personnel
• Must be able to keep up to date on process alterations and general procedures by reading logs, special procedures and posted notices
• Responsible for housekeeping & maintaining a clean work area
• Troubleshoot, preventative maintenance and minor repair on blow mold and support equipment
• Perform daily set up and bottle size changeovers on all equipment

Qualifications:

• Prior experience with Uniloy and/or Bekum blow molding machines
• Demonstrate mechanical skills
• Demonstrate knowledge of hand tools
• Possess the required tools to successfully perform job duties
• Demonstrate ability to properly startup and shut down blow molding machines
• Posses basic processing skills
• Demonstrate working knowledge of computer and touch screen operation
