CKO Kickboxing Jersey City is looking for a high-energy, outgoing, and motivated Member Experience & Sales Team Member to join our team! We’re a busy, fast-paced fitness studio in Downtown Jersey City, and we’re looking for someone who can bring energy, personality, exceptional customer service, and a strong sales mindset to every shift. POSITION
Part-Time Member Experience & Sales Team Member
18–25 hours per weekWeekdays: 4:15 PM – 9:45 PM
Weekends: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Weekend availability is required.
YOUR ROLE
You'll be one of the most important faces of CKO. Your job isn't just to sit behind a desk—it's to create an amazing member experience, build relationships, and help grow our membership.
MEMBER EXPERIENCE
- Welcome every member with energy and enthusiasm
- Check members into class
- Make new members and guests feel comfortable and welcomed
- Learn members' names and build genuine relationships
- Help create a fun, positive, and motivating gym atmosphere
- Follow up with members who haven't been attending regularly
MEMBERSHIP SALES
- Meet and connect with new prospects
- Give tours of the gym
- Explain CKO programs, memberships, and introductory offers
- Follow up with leads and trial members
- Convert trial members into long-term members
- Ask for the sale and confidently present membership options
- Help current members upgrade when appropriate
- Track leads, appointments, trials, and conversions
- Work toward individual and team sales goals
We're looking for someone who is comfortable selling—not someone who is afraid to ask for the business.
CUSTOMER SERVICE
- Answer phones and respond to member questions
- Handle requests professionally and courteously
- Assist with scheduling, memberships, and general questions
- Communicate important information to members and staff
- Give Orientations
GYM & FACILITY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Keep the lobby and member areas clean and organized
- Vacuum and clean the gym at close
- Sanitize heavy bags and equipment
- Mop floors and remove garbage
- Reorganize equipment and supplies
CASH & DAILY OPERATIONS
- Process membership and retail transactions
- Maintain accurate sales records
- Handle the cash drawer
- Complete end-of-shift procedures
- Make sure the gym is clean, organized, and ready for the next day
