Work Schedule: M-F 6am - 2pm or 6-4pm

Job Classification: Hourly During Training / Salary after full time

Job Summary: The Operations Supervisor and serves as the supportive operational engine across the warehouse team, delivery and purchasing functions. This role owns three things; developing people, standardizing processes, and driving execution across there critical areas of the business.

This role is responsible for supervising daily executions, leading and developing team members, and ensuring work is executed accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with established processes and priorities. The Operations Manager identifies and implements process improvements within their scope and escalates operational challenges, risks, and opportunities to his direct reports.

Success in this role is demonstrated through consistent daily execution, a team that operateswith accountability, and processes that are followed, maintained, and improved over time.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Supervises the Warehouse team (Warehouse Picker, Warehouse receiver, drivers, and Inventory) and the purchasing team, including oversight of daily work, performance, and accountability in alignment with direction from the Operations

Manager.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Accountability

• Lead, coach, and develop warehouse, inventory, delivery and purchasing team members
• Hold team members accountable to established performance expectations and

standards

• Conduct regular 1:1 meetings, coaching conversations, and performance feedback
• Build team capability through cross-training and development
• Ensure team performance aligns with established priorities and address performance gaps in a timely manner

Daily Operations Execution

• Execute and manage daily operational rhythm across warehouse and purchasing

functions

• Lead daily/weekly huddles to align priorities, capacity, and key issues
• Maintain strong presence on the floor and with the team throughout the day
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks in real-time
• Ensure work is completed accurately, efficiently, and on time Process Standardization & Continuous Improvement
• Identify inefficiencies, gaps, and risks across operations
• Lead and execute process improvement initiatives in alignment with direction from the general manager
• Convert inconsistent workflows into documented, repeatable SOPs
• Maintain and support a prioritized list of operational improvement projects in coordination with the General Manager
• Drive long-term, sustainable solutions—not just quick fixes

Purchasing & Inventory Oversight

• Support oversight of purchasing operations to ensure alignment with demand and inventory targets
• Support vendor performance, lead time management, and escalation resolution
• Ensure purchasing decisions are data-driven and aligned with operational needs
• Partner with warehouse coordination on inbound freight and capacity planning

Cross-Functional Communication

• Serve as a bridge between your teams and the rest of the organizations
• Proactively communicate capacity constraints, risks, and priorities
• Provide regular updates to the Operations Manager on performance and issues
• Escalate challenges with context and recommended solutions
• Escalate operational constraints, risks, and decisions requiring direction to the General Manager in a timely manner

Education and Experience:

• Minimum of 4 years of direct people leadership experience (required)
• Experience in warehouse operations, distribution, or material handling (required)
• Experience in purchasing, procurement, or inventory management (strongly preferred)
• Demonstrated experience leading process improvement or standardization initiatives
• Food distribution work experience preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in operations, supply chain, or related field preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in both office and warehouse environments
• Frequent standing, walking, and movement throughout the facility
• Ability to lift and move materials as needed (within reasonable limits up to 80lbs)
• Ability to bend, stoop, and reach as required in a warehouse setting
• May require occasional extended hours based on operational needs

Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,500.00 per year
