We are looking for a dependable and safety-focused Order Picker / Forklift Operator to join our warehouse operations team. This role is essential to maintaining efficient inventory flow, accurate order fulfillment, and safe food handling practices. The ideal candidate will have experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and take pride in delivering accuracy and quality in every task.
What You'll Do
Order Picking & Fulfillment
- Accurately pick products based on customer orders and production requirements.
- Verify item quantities, lot numbers, and expiration dates.
- Stage and organize orders for delivery and distribution.
- Ensure all outgoing orders meet quality and accuracy standards.
Shipping & Receiving
- Receive, inspect, and process incoming shipments.
- Verify received products against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
- Prepare products for shipping, storage, and distribution.
- Report discrepancies, shortages, or damaged products promptly.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move materials safely and efficiently.
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate inventory records and transaction documentation.
- Conduct routine inventory counts and stock reconciliation.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs.
- Rotate products using proper FIFO practices and monitor expiration dates.
- Support inventory accuracy and warehouse organization initiatives.
Transportation & Product Transfers
- Operate a company box truck to transport products between warehouse locations and off-site cold storage facilities.
- Safely load, unload, and transport products while maintaining temperature-control requirements.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Maintain transportation logs and required documentation.
- Follow all DOT, company, and state driving regulations.
Food Safety & Quality
- Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and allergen-control procedures.
- Inspect products for quality, damage, spoilage, or contamination.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of refrigerated, frozen, and dry goods.
- Help maintain compliance with company policies and food safety standards.
Warehouse Safety & Housekeeping
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Follow all equipment operating procedures and safety guidelines.
- Practice proper lifting and material-handling techniques.
- Support general warehouse maintenance and housekeeping efforts.
- Assist with additional warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1–2 years of warehouse, shipping/receiving, logistics, or related experience.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Valid Forklift and Pallet Jack Certification.
- DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate (Health Card).
- Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and vehicles.
Preferred Skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience working with inventory management systems.
- Knowledge of food safety and temperature-controlled storage practices.
Work Environment
- Warehouse setting including dry storage, refrigerated coolers, and freezer environments.
- Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
- Moderate noise levels typical of warehouse operations.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, climb, and reach throughout the workday.
- Frequent lifting, carrying, and moving of products and materials.
- Ability to safely lift and move up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to work in cold storage environments for extended periods as needed.
