Overview
We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in concrete finishing and construction, with the ability to work effectively on various projects. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics. The Concrete Finisher will be responsible for ensuring high-quality finishes on concrete surfaces while adhering to safety standards.
Duties
- Prepare and set up work areas for concrete pouring and finishing.
- Operate concrete mixers and other power tools necessary for the job.
- Install rebar and formwork as required for different projects.
- Finish surfaces of poured concrete using hand tools and power tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans.
- Perform heavy lifting and physical labor as needed throughout the day.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines are met.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment on construction sites.
- Assist in renovation, restoration, and other construction-related tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in concrete finishing or related construction fields.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and familiarity with heavy equipment operation.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Experience with various construction techniques including masonry, carpentry, plastering, and flooring installation.
- Knowledge of hardscape installation techniques is a plus.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and concrete pumping equipment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the workday.
- Previous experience on construction sites is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
