Overview
The Assistant Inventory Manager is responsible of daily inventory operations by ensuring accurate tracking, counting, and reporting of packaged cannabis products and packaging materials. This role is responsible for verifying inventory accuracy, assisting with compliance requirements, receiving deliveries, and maintaining organized inventory records to support efficient production and distribution operations.

Responsibilities
- Perform routine and scheduled inventory counts of packaged cannabis products and packaging materials.
- Verify physical inventory against inventory management systems and investigate discrepancies.
- Assist with maintaining accurate inventory records within state-mandated track-and-trace systems (e.g., METRC or BioTrack).
- Monitor stock levels and notify management of low inventory or potential shortages.
- Maintain organized storage of packaged goods and packaging supplies.
- Create and maintain inventory reports, including daily counts, variance reports, and stock movement logs.
- Document inventory adjustments and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Assist in preparing inventory documentation for audits or regulatory inspections.
- Receive and verify deliveries of packaging materials and packaged cannabis goods.
- Confirm shipment accuracy against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Inspect incoming materials for damage or discrepancies and report issues to management.
- Enter received inventory into tracking and inventory management systems.
- Ensure inventory processes follow all state cannabis regulations and internal compliance standards.
- Maintain proper labeling, batch tracking, and storage procedures for packaged products.
- Assist with internal audits and regulatory inventory checks.
- Coordinate with packaging, production, and logistics teams to ensure smooth inventory flow.
- Help implement inventory organization improvements and efficiency processes.
- Maintain clean, secure, and compliant storage areas.
- All other duties assigned.

Qualifications
- High School Graduate or GED
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
- Must meet all state eligibility requirements for employment in a licensed cannabis facility.
- Preferred minimum 3 years of experience in inventory management
- Preferred experience with cannabis compliance tracking systems (e.g., Metrc, BioTrackTHC).
Working Conditions
Positions in this class require typing, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions. May be required to lift up to 50 pounds, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects while completing essential functions. This position is comprised of physical work, which involves walking, lifting, carrying, and standing throughout the day. The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer screen, handling smartphone devices, and reading extensively.
