CK Contractors & Development is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Estimator for a full-time, on-site role in Kings Mountain, NC. The Senior Estimator will be responsible for preparing and managing cost estimates for site development projects, assessing project requirements, analyzing costs, developing bid materials, and collaborating with project managers, clients, and subcontractors. Additional tasks include performing risk assessments, conducting quantity take-offs, and ensuring competitive and accurate pricing of all project components to align with the company’s strategic objectives.
- Proficiency in estimating tools, software, and techniques, with strong skills in cost analysis and budgeting.
- Experience in construction site development, including knowledge of earthwork, utilities, paving, and related disciplines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in preparing accurate bid estimates.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills to engage effectively with clients, project teams, and subcontractors.
- Ability to interpret contracts, blueprints, and technical drawings for accurate cost evaluation.
- A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- 5 years of experience in construction estimating, particularly in site development projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and industry-specific software; familiarity with HCSS HeavyBid or similar tools is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and competing priorities effectively.
