Job Summary And Qualifications
The Lead Pharmacy Technician is that individual who, under the supervision of the Assistant Director or Director of Pharmacy, assists in the various activities involving the daily direct supervision of technician functions. Such duties include, but need not be limited to: workflow, call-in, overtime, payroll and scheduling. The Lead Pharmacy Technician will perform specialized clerical functions including, but not limited to: staff meeting agenda and minutes, outside and inter-office mail, human resources paperwork, and maintain employee educational books. The Lead Pharmacy Technician must function in strict accordance with standards, written procedures and guidelines with deviation approved by the Pharmacy Director. Organizational relationships include being directly responsible to the Assistant Director or Director of Pharmacy.
Direct supervision of daily technician duties including performance management and reviews.
Payroll and scheduling for pharmacist and technicians as assigned.
Assists management in the retrieval of accurate, concise, applicable and meaningful data or statistics.
Collects patient-specific data as necessary to assist management in designing, implementing, monitoring, evaluating, and modifying policies or procedures to ensure effective, safe and economical patient care.
Composes and drafts correspondence.

- High School Graduate / GED
- Required - 4 years Pharmacy technician
- Preferred - 4 years Pharmacy technician 2 years supervisory experience
