Job Summary And Qualifications
- Performs accurate analysis of all cardiac anatomy and assimilates appropriate data necessary for interpretation of the study.
- Assists the physician as needed during procedures and monitors physiological parameters during procedures.
- Performs job to ensure quality care is provided within defined area of accountability.
- Completes department appropriate technologist structure reporting protocol as set forth by the accrediting body.
- Restocks work areas with necessary supplies. Keeps work areas clean and orderly to promote patient safety.
- Maintains lab equipment to ensure optimal functioning by inspecting for breakdown, troubleshooting and communicating with appropriate repair persons.
- Submits activity reports as requested.
- Participates actively in continuing education and assists in education of new staff as requested.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- High School Graduate / GED
- (RDCS) Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, or (RCS) Registered Cardiac Sonographer must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
- Weekend coverage - flexible hours
