We’re located in Hinkley, CA, near Barstow in Southern California, and supply rock and sand products to customers throughout the High Desert. Lynx Cat Mountain Quarry is a fully SMARA-permitted and MSHA-compliant quarry operation.
Job Description:
Lynx Cat Mountain Quarry is seeking an experienced Plant Administrator with a solid background in rock plant operations. We need an experienced Plant Administrator to oversee daily operations of our offices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in rock quarry management, office administration, safety compliance, and records management. This role requires a keen eye for managing documentation and collaborating with quarry leadership while working to drive performance and maintaining high safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to MSHA safety guidelines and company policies to ensure a safe and compliant work environment, prioritizing safety at all times.
- Audit and develop improvements to Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, ensuring SOPs and Wis are up to date and accessible for all team members.
- Maintain and promote transparent communication throughout all rotating shifts, supervise and develop quarry staff
- Track KPI’s in operations and record, interpret and react to trends, data for improvement and history by communicating with Operations Team to gain consensus.
- Monitor all data to observe / predict trends and react according for efficient, quality driven results
- Support plant management with maintaining comprehensive and accurate records, including daily maintenance logs, parts inventory, repair schedules, and service reports to ensure efficient operations.
- Create records and spreadsheets to track operations and ensure accurate records for management use for topics such as production levels, equipment efficiency, and material quality
Qualifications:
- Experience in rock quarry operations or aggregate production management
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office for creating records and reports
- Familiarity with MSHA regulations and safety compliance standards
- Proven leadership experience with a track record of team development and performance management
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control to optimize operational efficiency
- Strong communication and organizational skills to manage operations effectively
