The Gift Processor plays a critical role in our organization, ensuring the accurate processing of financial transactions related to gift intentions, designations, and payments. Reporting directly to the Manager of Revenue Accounting, this position involves administrative tasks, data entry, and compliance with processing standards.

Essential Functions
- Receive and process mail, identifying contributions and directing them appropriately. Disseminate mail meant for other staff members or unrelated to campaigns while maintaining efficient mail handling procedures.
- Review and log payments received in a timely manner.
- Prepare and process daily deposit batches for checks received using remote deposit
- Reconcile daily database entry reports with the day’s log and bank deposits.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness in payment documentation.
- Prepare data entry batches for donor gift intentions and payments.
- Record gifts in the CRM, ensuring proper coding while prioritize and distributing batches for database entry.
- Reconcile entered data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with processing standards.
- Respond to inquiries from development staff and donors regarding payment questions and balances in a timely manner.
- Manage the matching gifts process efficiently.
- Other duties as assigned with or without accommodation.
Working Conditions
- Hybrid Work Schedule: CJP staff follow a hybrid work model. On-site work is required on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, while remote work is an option on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays with occasional in-person meetings on those days.
- Physical Requirements: This role involves remaining in a stationary position, often sitting or standing for prolonged periods, primarily working at a computer. Staff need to be able to carry a laptop and bag to and from the office.

Education:
- BS or Associate Degree in accounting or business administration.
- Two years of applicable experience, preferably in a non-profit setting.
- Ability to learn new software with proficient skills in Microsoft Office 365 applications and extensive experience in spreadsheets.
- Proficiency in data entry, with high accuracy and great attention to detail.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Solid organization skills, with ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Logic and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changes and shifting priorities.
