What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at CJK Group?
Job Summary: To maintain and repair facilities and equipment in a quality manner to ensure productive plant operation. Perform all assigned electrical and mechanical duties.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
- Maintain, alter, rebuild, and adjust equipment and facilities, including fabricating parts and assemblies.
- Analyze recurring facility-oriented failures to find solutions.
- Complete preventative, scheduled, and emergency maintenance and repair work on facilities and equipment as required.
- Implement safety measures in equipment design and installation.
- Manage inventory of supplies and materials necessary for building and manufacturing operations.
- Understand and adhere to company safety protocols and policies.
- Identify workplace hazards and correct problems.
- Perform work to ensure compliance with safety and governmental regulations.
- Inform coworkers and employees of precautions and equipment procedures.
- Accurately record repairs and maintenance performed in a log.
- Perform ground and building maintenance as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- 2-3 years' experience as a mechanical technician in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with production equipment in a manufacturing setting.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Understanding of Lock-Out-Tag-Out procedures.
- Electrical knowledge, including single-phase 120V, three-phase 480V, and 24 VDC power systems.
- Ability to safely handle power tools.
- Good communication and troubleshooting skills.
Desired Skills and Abilities:
- Welding experience
Physical Requirements:
- Able to lift 60lbs regularly.
- Will to work all shifts.
- Occasionally perform the following activities: moving to accomplish tasks, communicating with others, operating machines and power tools, working in noisy environments, ascending/descending ladders/stairs/scaffolding/ramps, moving in tight spaces, remaining stationary for prolonged periods, repeating motions, assessing work accuracy/neatness/thoroughness, and working in high/low temperatures.
