Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 /year

About the Role

The Fulfillment & Warehouse Manager is responsible for managing and providing guidance and support to the Oriskany, NY Distribution Center employees. This position oversees the scheduling of staff and daily direction of production activities. This position will monitor and adjust work assignments as necessary throughout the operation to ensure performance that satisfies both internal and external customers. 

What You’ll Do

• Manage workflow, delegate tasks, oversee day-to-day performance of employees
• Interact with and use warehouse operating and inventory systems as necessary
• Provide leadership, act as a mentor and maintain a positive work environment
• Organize and coordinate the training of new hires, setting goals, and creating opportunities for advancement of employees
• Provide constructive and prompt performance feedback and evaluations to production personnel including the tracking of KPI’s
• Address employee behavioral issues on a timely basis and according to company policy
• Coordinate work and vacation schedules based on customer and departmental needs
• Respond to inquiries and requests from the home office promptly
• Coordinate necessary maintenance of equipment
• Provide open communication to both employees and management. Set the proper example and apply company policies as defined in the Employee Handbook
• Complete other tasks as defined by Management
• Follow and enforce all required safety procedures such as: PPE, Ergonomics, etc. Complete required manager safety audits monthly. Perform job in a manner that protects the health and safety of all employees.

 What You’ll Bring

• High School Diploma or GED
• Prior warehousing and supervisory experience
• Effective interpersonal skills
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs
• Ability to work additional hours as required
• Self-motivated to work independently
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Ability to represent management decisions in a professional and positive manner
• Ability to effectively manage daily, changing priorities

 Desired Skills and Abilities

• 3 years Training/Supervisory experience
• Powered Industrial Truck operation – will train if necessary

Physical Requirements

• Ability to access and navigate the entire distribution center. Daily physical presence is required.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time while training or assisting with tasks on production floor as needed
• Ability to bend, twist, push, pull, carry as needed
• Ability to accurately use a keyboard
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
