IT Low Voltage Outside Sales Representative–Territory - Long Island/Queens/Brooklyn NY
You will interact with existing customers to increase sales of the Company's products they represent. You will offer assistance to win projects and day to day business by utilizing he resources our manufactures provide. Provide training on new products and offerings after development. Attend networking events and search for new clients. You will also collaborate with outside and inside sales to ensure goals are being met.
Responsibilities:
- Visits existing client base and search for new ones via cold calling, internet searches, relationship building and leveraging existing relationships etc.
- Meets and exceeds performance measurements based on volume budgets, profitability, penetration, efficiency objectives.
- Markets products and offers value-added services.
- Develops strong business relationships in growing existing accounts, prospects for opportunities within account base.
- Owns, qualifies, and develops opportunities passed from marketing and outside sales.
- Keeps abreast of new products and acquires and shares competitive knowledge.
- Reports industry trends, competitive pricing and customer feedback to management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Basic knowledge and experience in Sales and Sales Administration, willing to learn
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Demonstrated high level of sustained competency as a professional contributor
- Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work in team environment
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to prospect and market concepts to existing and potential new accounts
- Ability to take action in solving problems while exhibiting judgment and realistic understanding of issues
- Works independently with minimal supervision
- Preferred outside sales experience – Lunches, networking events, presentations, prospecting new clients and leads.
- Ability to travel within their territory – 75%
- Must have own car
