Under the supervision of the Program Coordinator/Clinical Director:
The QMHP-A will provide direct mental health services to individuals diagnosed with a significant mental illness who are seeking to improve their ADLs and symptom management skills in order to maintain their independence and stability within the community. The QMHP-A will provide person-centered, recovery-oriented, goal-directed training services as identified and documented in the Individualized Service Plan. The QMHP-A will link individuals to appropriate resources, coordinate care, and complete all related documentation following agency policies.
The QMHP-C will provide direct mental health services to at-risk youth who require intensive intervention to stabilize them in their family situation. The QMHP-C will provide age-specific, person-centered therapeutic interventions as identified and documented in the Individualized Service Plan. The QMHP-C will provide individual and family sessions designed to teach the individual the necessary skills for stability and to strengthen the family unit. The QMHP-C will link individuals and their families to appropriate resources, coordinate care, and complete all related documentation by agency policies
Specific Skills and Qualifications:
Applicants Must Have:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Human Services from any of the following fields of study; Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or Counseling
- Certification as a Qualified Mental Health Professional from the Virginia Board of Counseling
- A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience working directly with individuals with mental health diagnoses as a counselor or case manager.
- Experience generating case notes, progress notes (preferably in BIRP format), and other documentation associated with participants and submitting those documents electronically.
- Great communication and writing skills.
- Great organizational, prioritization, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and display excellent time management skills, with minimal direct supervision.
- Knowledge of basic computer software such as MSWord, and MSExcel, and sending and receiving emails.
- Knowledge of basic office equipment (copy, fax, scan) in order to submit documentation.
- Reliable transportation

Duties and Responsibilities are as follows:
* Provide direct care and goal-oriented services to individuals and their families when applicable
* Maintain availability for crisis intervention services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
*Implement individualized treatment plans with measurable goals and objectives
*Convey therapeutic interventions, outcomes, and client progress on progress notes submitted electronically.
* Prepare BIRP notes and other documentation promptly and in accordance with DMAS/DBHDS regulations and CJAB Family Services Documentation Policy
*Prepare individualized service plans identifying needs, strategies, and service goals.
* Participate in weekly clinical supervision of client progress
*Attend all in-services, staff meetings, and quality assurance activities that are either mandatory or requested. Advance notice of meetings will always be given.

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
