Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Architectural Drafter to join our dynamic design team. Responsibilities
- Develop accurate 2D and 3D architectural drawings, schematics, and construction details using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, MicroStation, and Rhino 3D.
- Create detailed building information models (BIM) to facilitate project coordination and construction planning.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and designers to translate conceptual designs into precise technical documentation.
- Conduct building code analysis to ensure compliance with local regulations and standards throughout the design process.
- Prepare comprehensive construction detail documentation that clearly communicates specifications for contractors and builders.
- Utilize graphic design skills to enhance visual presentations of architectural concepts, including 3D modeling and rendering.
- Assist in system design, interior detailing, mechanical design, and other specialized drafting tasks as needed for project success.
Skills
- Proficiency in SketchUp, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Rhino 3D (including Grasshopper 3D), ArchiCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and SolidWorks for modeling and drafting.
- Strong knowledge of building code compliance and construction detail documentation standards.
- Experience with 3D CAD modeling and building information modeling (BIM) tools for integrated project workflows.
- Ability to perform building code analysis and interpret regulatory requirements accurately.
- Skilled in schematic development, drafting techniques, and creating clear technical drawings.
- Familiarity with construction experience to better understand practical implementation of designs.
- Capable of integrating graphic design principles into architectural presentations; experience with 2D animation is a plus.
- Knowledge of interior design principles, mechanical systems, system design processes, and structural detailing enhances overall project contribution.
