CJ’s Sports Bar & Grill is seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Manager to join our fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow within a dynamic hospitality operation.
Position Overview
The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting daily restaurant and bar operations, ensuring high standards of service, team performance, and compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily bar and restaurant operations
- Lead, coach, and support staff and supervisors
- Assist with hiring, training, and development of employees
- Manage scheduling and monitor attendance/timekeeping
- Enforce company policies and disciplinary procedures
- Handle guest concerns and resolve conflicts professionally
- Maintain inventory control and assist with ordering
- Support promotions, marketing efforts, and budgeting
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of bar/restaurant experience, including bartending
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience required
- Kitchen experience is a plus
- Availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Experience with POS systems, Microsoft Office, and general operating systems
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to excellence
- Strong customer service and conflict resolution skills
- Solid problem-solving and decision-making abilities
