Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using advanced automotive electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Repair and overhaul mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain components.
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools skillfully for mechanical repairs and auto body work while adhering to safety standards.
- Work with diesel engines and heavy equipment mechanics on specialized repairs involving diesel engine repair and air brake systems.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems efficiently.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring vehicle safety and reliability before returning it to the customer.
Skills
- Proven dealership experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair.
- Extensive knowledge of automotive electrical systems, transmissions, mechanical systems repair, and powertrain components.
- Skilled in using schematics, diagnostic software, welding equipment, and maintenance tools for precise repairs.
- Experience working with GM vehicles or similar makes is preferred but not required.
- Ability to perform specialized tasks such as ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibration, alignment, suspension work, tire service, shocks & struts replacement.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by hands-on experience with auto body repair and welding techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive attitude toward vehicle maintenance and safety standards.
