We are seeking a licensed pharmacist to serve as Pharmacy Manager for our established downtown independent pharmacy. This role offers a refreshing alternative to the high-volume, metrics-driven environment of large chain pharmacies. • A retail pharmacist looking to transition away from the demands of chain pharmacy.
  • A recent pharmacy graduate interested in independent pharmacy and eager to develop management and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Operations

Patient Care

  • Provide exceptional customer service and personalized patient counseling.
  • Review and dispense prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
  • Conduct medication therapy reviews and identify opportunities to improve patient outcomes.
  • Build lasting relationships with patients, healthcare providers, and community partners.
  • Promote adherence programs and other patient-centered pharmacy services.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records and oversee quality assurance processes.
  • Uphold company policies and professional standards.
  • Manage controlled substance inventories and related documentation.

Business Development

  • Support initiatives to grow prescription volume and pharmacy services.
  • Identify opportunities for community outreach and patient engagement.
  • Collaborate with ownership to improve operational efficiency and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications Required

  • Active Missouri pharmacist license in good standing.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead a team and manage daily operations.

Preferred

  • Previous pharmacy management or supervisory experience.
  • Independent pharmacy experience.
  • Experience with pharmacy management software and third-party billing.
  • Interest in business operations, community engagement, and professional development.

What We Offer

  • A slower-paced, patient-focused practice environment.
  • Opportunity to build meaningful relationships with patients and providers.
  • Leadership and management experience in an independent pharmacy setting.
  • Supportive ownership and collaborative team culture.
  • Professional growth and career development opportunities.
  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
