Senior Design Project Manager
CivTech Inc. has an immediate opening for a Senior Design Project Manager.
Job Description
In this position, the ideal candidate will possess leadership and analytical skills with the ability to lead projects from initiation to successful completion. This position will have responsibility for financial and technical performance on small to medium projects or designated tasks on large projects and will require application of standard engineering/planning techniques and procedures, professional judgment to make modifications or execute complex features or solutions. This position will direct other engineers and technicians assigned to projects.
A Senior Design Project Manager will work under Senior Staff in the following areas:
TECHNICAL
- Develop plan sets, specifications and special provisions, quantities and cost estimates.
- Develop reports and studies for public and private clients with minimal oversight.
- Incorporate agency requirements into each design project. Able to research, find, interpret, and apply agency standards to the project and provide documentation formulating assumptions.
- Act as Engineer-of-Record on complex design projects, sealing them in accordance with requirements of agencies in charge.
- PROJECT MANAGEMENT
- Be responsible for the performance of projects under their direction.
- Be responsible for adherence to project schedules and budgets.
- Lead by example to other staff in maintaining project schedules and budgets.
- Completes progress reports, invoicing and billing per company policy each month.
- MARKETING
- Assist in preparation of scopes, schedules, and fee estimates for new public and private work.
- Identify, pursue, and win new work in coordination with senior staff.
- Continue and strengthen client relationships within the CivTech service area.
- Regularly attend client sponsored events serving as an ambassador for CivTech.
- Contribute to the CivTech Office Culture and provide leadership to staff.
- SOFT SKILLS
- Will develop and maintain exceptional customer relations and provide the appropriate level of communication to both external and internal clients.
- Correspond with clients on needs, results, delivery schedule, and respond to inquiries in a professional manner.
- Assist in ensuring the CivTech company culture is maintained in the office.
- Mentors and supports junior project staff, strengthening project discipline, communication habits, and overall delivery capability.
- Assist/Mentor junior project staff in planning/study/design procedures and requirements
Required Qualifications
- At least 10 years of recent, relevant experience
- Arizona PE License Required. Texas, Washington and Florida PE License desired.
- Expertise in Open Roads Designer and other ADOT software packages.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: This is a salaried position.
Billable hours over 40/week will be paid at 1.0 x’s the hourly rate, with prior approval.
Salary Range $130,000 - $170,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
Schedule: 8-hour shift, Day shift, Monday to Friday
